Steps
- Log in to your DeepL account
- Go to the "Subscription" page
- Select a new plan
- Confirm the change
Upgrade Rules
- Upgrades take effect immediately
- Fees are prorated (remaining days charged at the new rate)
- You can upgrade from Starter to Advanced or Ultimate
- You can upgrade from Individual to a Team plan
- All custom content (glossaries, style rules, translation memory) remains unchanged
Downgrade Rules
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period
- You retain all features of your current plan for the remaining time
- If the downgraded plan doesn't support certain features (e.g., multiple glossaries), the extra data for those features will be deleted when the downgrade takes effect
- We recommend exporting any data you want to keep before downgrading
Canceling Your Subscription
After canceling, your account remains available for the remaining paid period. After expiration, it automatically converts to a free account. Custom content will be deleted 90 days after deactivation. Teams will be dissolved within 90 days after expiration.
Enterprise Changes
Enterprise customers should contact their dedicated Customer Success Manager or reach out to the sales team for plan changes.
