About Translation Memory

Learn how translation memory works, match scoring, and core benefits

← Back to Help Center

Translation Memory stores translated sentence pairs and automatically reuses them when the same or similar sentences appear again. This ensures translation consistency and saves significant time.

How It Works

Each time a translation is completed, the source and target language sentence pairs are automatically stored in the memory. The next time the same or similar sentence appears (with a match score exceeding the set threshold), the system will directly use the translation from the memory without re-translating.

Match Scoring

  • 100% Match: Identical, directly reused
  • 95-99% Match: Highly similar, minor adjustments needed
  • 75-94% Match: Fuzzy match, manual confirmation required
  • Below Threshold: Memory not applicable, fresh translation

Core Benefits

  • Translation consistency: The same sentence won't have different translations
  • Cost savings: Repeated content doesn't need to be paid for twice
  • Efficiency improvement: High-frequency content translation speed is significantly accelerated
  • Enhanced collaboration: Team-shared memory allows everyone's translation work to be reused

Supported Languages

Translation Memory supports: English (EN), Spanish (ES), French (FR), German (DE), Italian (IT), Japanese (JA), Korean (KO), Chinese (ZH), as well as English (US), English (UK), and Latin American Spanish (ES-419).
